How green is your business? Do you know where your waste goes?

Every business has its own reasons for becoming green or promoting eco-friendly initiatives. And there are plenty of solutions to consider. However, choosing which provider to take away and recycle your waste is one of the biggest.

Did you know that you can be fined for not using a registered waste carrier?

Under the Environmental Protection Act, you could be charged up to £5000 if you fail to take “reasonable measures” to ensure that the waste disposal company you hire is authorised to do so. Waste crime in the UK is at an all-time high with over 187 million tonnes of waste being illegally managed according to a 2021 survey by the Environment Agency. And it’s not just the UK that is suffering with this problem.

Damian Lambkin, Environmental Entrepreneur, thinks he has the answer to solving this global crisis. Damian started AnyWaste.com. A company that has developed a new system that disrupts the way waste is collected, by simplifying waste collections and giving full transparency as to what happens to your waste.

The new tech-start up has created a platform, that is the first of its kind, where it can be used to help waste processors, brokers and producers of waste because the system helps with easy waste booking, management, payment and reduces administrative time and processes. By simplifying waste management and only allowing licensed waste carriers on the platform, this will reduce waste and waste crime and create a positive impact on the environment and planet.

“We have now reached the point in AnyWaste.Com’s development where we need to test it more widely and seek feedback for further development and then global roll-out,” says Damian Lambkin.

Waste businesses that wish to take part in AnyWaste.Com’s free pilot scheme should contact Damian Lambkin by emailing info@anywaste.com
